Wireless Packet Info - RX/TX Errors
From DD-WRT Wiki
Wireless Packet Info
Example:
Received (RX) 72824 OK, 36413 errors Transmitted (TX) 30792 OK, 1 errors
How can one avoid all these errors?
- Do a site survey under Status->Wireless and find out what channels in your area are NOT being used and set it in your Wireless Basic configuration. Also setting the wireless Channel to Auto will dynamically config the channel and channel width. Much user friendly feature for basic users.
- Selecting an unused channel works. But one must choose a channel that is two channels (10Mhz) separated from the the adjacent occupied channel. There was still interference with one channel separation.
- The bottom line is that the high RX error rate is due to Radio interferences from the neighboring Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cordless phones in the 2.4Ghz band and even florescent lamps. If this is happening to your AP, you may want to tweak the channel, bluetooth coexistence mode, or both.
