Hello All!

Is there a way to log any connection attempts on the wireless access point? I would like to know if someone is hammering away at the AP during the night.

I am using a Linksys WRT54G_v6 with dd-wrt.v24_micro_generic

Is this possible, and if so, how do I perform this?

If it is not possible, no worries...not the end of the world :-)

Thanks in advance -- Wiired

I am also interested in learning more about enabling enhanced logging.... anyone up for a little bit of handholding?

Not possible. You can log the WAN connection through the firewall logging but not the wireless. It will just show the wireless clients.

Will it log connect and/or disconnect events for wireless clients?

... or perhaps I should ask, what status information is available for wireless clients?

In my case, the WRT54GL is being used as an AP... DHCP services, WAN port, and routing are disabled.

I should of said it will only show wireless connected clients in the status page. No logging.

I find it a bit surprising that the syslog output can't be tweaked to include this kind of detail....

Has anyone else discovered a workaround of some kind?

That's what I was hoping for, little bit of tweaking to the syslog reporting would be great.

If it can show the connected clients, there should be a record of the connection somewhere....?
